Poor Noonan

Things have been quite rough in Ewan-land lately.  He wakes up very early every morning, at least an hour earlier than what his body needs, and he's so tired all day long that he barely can function.  If I do try to make him nap, he either just can't fall asleep, or he sleeps so hard that he can't fall asleep at night.  As a result of all this, he has been nearly inconsolable and basically an emotional wreck.  This morning, after literally every innocent question I would ask, such as, "What do you want for breakfast?" he would completely break down and get hysterical.  When it came time to lay down, he was so wired that I didn't even try to make him lie down.  While I was throwing together something for our dinner, everything in the house was very quiet.  I went into his room and found him on the verge of sleep, and he said to me, "Can you come sit with me?"  I told him I would in just a few minutes, and when I came back, he was a total goner.  So now we're on our way to six o'clock, and I have no idea what to do!  Wake him up?  Let him sleep for as long as he needs (and risk him being up all night?)  While I decide, however, I enjoy the cuteness of him sleeping with his Transformers, his soft bear and his beloved kitty.

Oh my gosh, cutest picture ever! Let him sleep, he will quite possibly sleep all night or at least til 6 am. Especially considering the long drive yesterday and the fact that he's not been getting enough sleep lately. My kids still do this on occasion, I think it's good for them. He obviously needed it!

Yikes, that's a toughie. I would let him sleep too. Maybe he'll get some much needed catch-up.

Have I mentioned how much I love this couch? I'm sitting on it right now.

I too would just let him sleep! He very well may sleep all night long! Just keep it quiet and dark, and this will be very good for him! And I love that he really does cart those transformers all over the place! Cracks me up!

Well, he slept until around 7. We'll see when he'll fall asleep tonight. But he did wake up in the best mood ever, and that's actually not sarcasm.

Oooo! I hope he isn't up all night for you! But SO good that he woke up happy, I know that when I sometimes take late naps I wake up disoriented and it makes me grouchy, and I am a grown up! LOL

Such a cute picture! I love that the cat is curled up with him, too. I hope all the extra sleep helps him feel better.

I have a picture of Chandler, at the exact same age crashed in his little toddler bed and Lucy is curled up at his feet just like in this picture. I remember taking it because Chan never slept in his own bed and Lucy NEVER got near him, which makes it that much more cute. Anyway- random thought of the day....

Ah, Ash, I think I'm overly emotional today, but that memory just made me all teary and stuff. Thinking about little Chan and my lovely kitty Lucy...
